Cleo was spayed yesterday and she looks so miserable

The vet said she would be up and back to normal in a couple of days. Now here's my question, she went into heat on 9/26/11 and stopped bleeding around 10/20/11, but the vet told me yesterday that she was STILL in heat. Is that possible? Also, is there anything I should do for her while she recovers? Poor Cleo, she looks so sad
