From what I've learned kharris...a LOT of Razors Edge and Gottiline dogs were admittedly crossed with other breeds and a new "breed" was produced - the Am Bully. Apparently many of our UKC registered APBTs are actually supposed to be called Am Bullies now because they are a seperate breed. Personally...I have a hard time calling it a 'breed' because there doesn't seem to be any real clear cut consistency (yet) and everyone's opinion on what at Am Bully should look like seems to vary a little from person to person and from all the "classes" of Am Bullies. I think with more time the standard might become more defined...but it's too wide right now IMO.

My advice...find a good AKC/UKC Am Staff or UKC/ABDA APBT breeder from visiting shows and meeting people if you want to get a dog for show events. Research the pedigree and learn about their line of dogs' heritage before you commit to a dog.
