Conversation a half hour ago:
I had yelled at her about smothering me while I was trying to eat. She wasn't trying to eat my food, she was just smothering me (since I'd been gone all day) and I couldn't physically move my arms to eat.
*After she looked really dejected and like she was about to shut down.*
Me: You know the rules! You don't get on the couch when I'm eating. I have to move my arms to eat.
Her: *Blank stare*
Me: You stay off the damn couch until I'm done eating.
Her: *Blank stare*
Me: Got it?
Her: *Blank stare*
