This is a pretty common deal with this breed. They really have quite sensitive skin. I have one in my crew that has almost always had a staph infection somewhere in her body. It's nasty. She has never passed it on to anyone, but she is on antibiotics and steroids a great deal.
I know that Nu-Stock heals sores very very well and the hair grows back in quickly. Sulfadene is another good medicine as well.


Medicating something you don't know the cause of and that is re-occurring seems a little pointless to me, unless you want the dog permanently on medication.

You can try a Fur Saver chain collar.. the links are bigger. Though I honestly would just take her collar off in the house.
