I don't use any corrections of any kind while training, not even verbal. I've never laid a hand on my dog, don't yank on his leash, and only use "no" extremely rarely. My dane walks nicely in public, and is nearly competition ready for obedience. He just learned to retrieve the dumbbell, with a clicker only.
I don't need to show my dog who's boss, we respect each other and communicate flawlessly through training.
