For an FYI

Ears back/barking/growling with or without attempts to bite could be fear related behaviour, esspecially with crouchy body, raised hackles, darting gaze/limited/no eye contact, low carriage and tucky tail. The body language of a aggressive dog would be....Ears erect/locking eyes, body stiff, snarl and or attempts to bite.Tail would be erect/straight back and stiff.Hackles would be up.Tall stance.Rigid gait.

I cannot tell you what to do for your dog.I feel sad you are in this position with him.If you personally feel it's best to PTS,then I wouldn't protest it.I wouldn't listen to this boss,or his buddies-only what YOU witness and how YOU feel it is best for the dog.
