For what it's worth, Laine (now about 2.5 or 3 years, hard to remember) started lifting his leg when he was about a year and a half old, well after he was neutered, but he doesn't always lift his leg... in fact, he usually doesn't.

Opie (now about 7.5 months) on the other hand has been leg-lifting for like, three months, and he always does it.
