This is a fantastic example of the kind of things politicians need to hear. While attempting to educate with facts doesn't hurt, they rarely pay any attention to facts given by folks they consider "biased", and crazy to boot.

Obviously, writing with anger, swearing, insults and threats is not the way to win anyone over, it simply serves to cement the stereotype that pit bull owners are as viscous as their dogs.

Letters from owners of the breed that discuss their dogs as individuals who can love, and are loved in return written by average, everyday folks is the key to showing politicians that their constituents (not just criminals and dirt bags) own and love these dogs, and will not support a government figure who wants to kill their pets.
