I have always preferred females. In my experiences, they have been easier to house break and easier to train. Gizzmo is 12 yrs old, and to this day, he will still hike his leg in the house if I heave him alone for 2 minutes. The females I have had have always been more even tempered and not as stubborn, of course, now that I have APBT (mixes), the past dogs that I had that were stubborn were a walk in the park.

But as a general rule, I tend to have better luck with females. Right now, I have 3 of each, and they are all pretty easy to deal with, if you take out Gizzmo's leg hiking

. Titus has been great after he got past the puppy stage, and Cooper was full grown when he got here, so he's been easy to handle, and he hasn't tried to hike his leg in the house at all.
