The people that name their dogs the same names. Like from 1980-1991 there was Aspen... then 1993-2005 there was Aspen (v. 2.0) and so on.

Those of you that don't work in the animal field probably don't know about this unless you ARE one of those people. But these people really do exist, and I am soooo confused by it.

If you are one of those people, why do you do this?

I understand it's probably easier not to learn a new name for a dog, but doesn't the name just make you think of your buddy you lost a few years ago?

I wonder if these same people do this with their human children if one dies early??
Yea i know some guy that named his kids after him lol, he had 3 kids with the same name Pancho. First kid first name was Pancho, second kids middle name Pancho and third kid was name Pancho Pancho. Yes i have named a dog after a dog we used to have, my current dogs name is after my childhood dog and yea ill say its to remember him by.
