Am. Bullies are not nor have they ever been bred for the trait of gameness. They are a mixed breed consisting of some APBT or Am Staff blood along with other breeds mixed in to give them their appearance, size, and attitude. They are bred strictly for looks, size, and more often than not lining the pockets of the one that breeds them. Even your best Am Bully can not compare with a correct game bred animal pound for pound. Which leads me to another point of this conversation....most people associate the quality of gameness with winning, I am not sure why, but it happens more often than most think. Gameness has nothing to do with the act of winning the fight or match (yes they are different), but rather with not wavering in the face of defeat. A game dog very well can be a loser of a match these dogs are not machines as much as we would like to think. Are their any canine combatants that can rival a correct APBT pound for pound? Not a chance in hell. Are there other dogs out there that can, and have defeated APBT's in dog fights? Sure there are, but that isn't the norm, and the only ones that I personally know of were dogs that outweighed the APBT by 100+ lbs were overseas against Tosa dogs which are not game animals, and they were not by cajun rules which is a set of rules that are used for APBT matches to fairly test gameness.
