Yup, don't let him do that.

I correct mine when I catch them doing it. Lily doesn't anymore, but Scout will if there is something really good in there. They are not left unsupervised with the cats so obviously they aren't around the box unsupervised either.

Also I use Feline Pine, which is probably a lot less damaging to innards than that silica clay crap. So its not that huge of a deal if she eats some kitty poo with pine powder on it. I use it because of my cat with a history of Upper Respiratory Disease.
