You are NOT weird at all! Crying over a loved and lost pet is normal, and good really, it reminds you of something good you once had. I still cry over Peaches, who was stolen from me almost two years ago. I'm always emailing shelters, and searching craigslist for her. I'm moving back to the area where i lived with her last, and i plan on searching for her more. I don't know what happened to her either, so i'm hoping to find out that she is at least happy. i'm forever crying over her, when i see other people with brindle apbt's or really sometimes, just a dog that is making a face similar to her. I cry all over again.
so don't worry, i think it's more normal than if you didn't care at all. besides, it's good to cry sometimes.
