I worked at a bar and we had a regular who use to come in, leave his dog in the car in the dead of summer, and drink away the afternoon. Everyone that worked there was so furious and we would always ask him why he couldn't take the 2 minute detour to his house and drop the dog off on his way to the bar. All of his friends would defend him because "he loves that dog so much". It doesn't matter how much you love a dog, love doesn't stop a dog from dying. We would go out during our shifts and give him bowls of ice water. One night one of the other waitresses (she was a good friend of his) went out to his car and she reached into the window and unlocked the door. She grabbed the dog and brought him into the restaurant and gave him a bucket of water and a whole bunch of goodies lol. He parked his butt on a booth and spent the rest of the day getting pet in the nice air conditioned bar haha. Good thing the only people who went there were regulars and weren't going to complain about a dog being in the bar.
