Having had a dog stolen, I'll tell you what we did:

1st - we called the police. A police report is very important and we also provided them with a picture of her and one of her tattoo.

2nd - we called AC. Now here's the thing with AC...you actually need to go down there and provide them with a picture of the dog, or else they really won't be paying any attention to you over the phone and will most probably tell you no despite whether or not the dog really ends up there. This advice was given to me directly from an AC officer's mouth. So we supplied them with the same pic of her & the tattoo along with a detailed description of what she looked like.

3rd - we made fliers that included a monetary reward, the headline STOLEN!, a detailed description of the dog, & a picture. And we put those fliers anywhere & everywhere! Put them up at vet clinics, pet supply stores, grocery stores...wherever you are allowed.

4th - we never gave up calling AC and the sheriff's office.

**I would go as far as 100 miles away in terms of AC places to contact.
