My first pit bull was found by hunters. She was tied to a tree and left to starve. The hunters were scared of her because of her breed so they left her there overnight. However, they felt so bad for her that they went back for her the next day. They dropped her off at a shelter. She was at the shelter for 3 months when she got cancer. A vet I know took pity on her and said that she would remove the tumors if I gave her a home for life.

I had to change insurance companies and put in a fence to get approved, but I did it. We've been together for 4 years now. She is in the final weeks of her life and she has been an absolute joy. I am going to miss this fabulous dog.
