Wow this sounds like my neighbors...So very unfortunate...

I kept telling him that he needed to separate them, because they were getting close to a mature age. I told him it was very possible they'd end up fighting. He said, "Naa, they are brothers." His female came into heat.

Dear god! I have never really heard of a situation where if kept with a female in heat two studs of any breed will not get into it! It has also been my experience that same sex litter mates will fight more frequently after maturity than non litter mates. I do not know about APBT's as much, but growing up we would never place two same sex litter mates with the same family. There is always going to be a dominance contest between to very similar male dogs and so with litter mates, wow talk about a lit fuse.
