I think that the lifestyle and relationship between dog/owner that he preaches is pretty good. I like to watch the show and have learned some techniques that have worked great when working with my dog. However, I don't think that you can just watch the Dog Whisperer and know everything that you need to. As mentioned by CHJ, I wish that he put more emphasis on breed (sometimes he does talk about breed traits but not too often). I think that you can learn great things from him if you are educated from other sources as well. There are definitely times when I disagree with something he says/does but if Americans are going to be watching any show on TV about dogs, his is one of the better ones.
