Is your area about to enact BSL?

I don't have any specific sources of information for you, but perhaps it would be a good idea to offer some information about why people think bully breeds are dangerous.

Here is what I would say:
according to dangerousdogs.org (i think that is the website...), pits are dangerous because they are responsible for 50 percent of fatal dog bites. The problem with this, however, is two-fold. First, there are no accurate statistics about dog bites, as many go unreported, so any statistical evidence trying to claim any dog is dangerous is really worthless. Second, by this logic, the US is the most dangerous country the earth has ever seen. After all, we are responsible for 100 percent of nuclear bombings. The US is probably NOT the most dangerous country ever, and bullies aren't the most dangerous breed.

Does this make sense? Like I said, this isn't really showing how good pits are, just that the logic that claims that they are dangerous is flawed.

Further, Denver banned pit bulls, and still have had 1 fatal attack since, whereas other comparably sized cities (you would need to do a bit of research) have reported 0 fatal attacks...and many pit bulls still remain in the city. This is a good way of dissauding BSL: banning the breed only affects law abiding owners. The bad guys (which more than likely have the bad dogs) will still have them.

As odd as it sounds, the magazine rack in petco/smart has some good apbt magazines, and these often have articles written by people with Ph.Ds! Good stuff.

Hope this helped.
