Just to add... my girl Nyx was ''taught'' to protect along with a host of other issues with her past due to pure stupidity on her first owners part. We actually were very successful in teaching her that ''guarding'' is not what we wanted out of her, so if whatever he is doing is ACTUALLY a taught behavior like they say, it can be ''untaught''.
