Right after we had FIRST moved into the neighborhood, one of the men way down the street told my husband one day that he would shoot Mikey if he ever saw him running loose.

At that time, yes, Mikey would escape and run down the road with somebody chasing him immediately. He NEVER got out that we didn't know it immediately.
He never attacked or hurt anything and the whole incident only ever took 5 minutes.
But this had only happened a couple of times when the guy told my husband that he would shoot Mikey.

My husband told him he needed to go get some body bags then because that guys dogs were in OUR yard continuously and if he wanted to play that game then so be it.

I FINALLY got it across to my kids that the door had to be watched like a hawk and that we couldnt take chances like that EVER and we got into a routine of SAFETY, but you know what?
That dudes dogs X 3 are STILL running loose and none of mine EVER are.
