If you are out in the country on a lot of property, build a nice big yard with a nice big fence. The dog should be able to enjoy living in the country. For me, it is THE priority. I'll do without a lot of other stuff...I have dozens and dozens of chain link panels that I haul with me when I move. I make my own yard + smaller kennels....my house is always surrounded by fencing so the dogs can be let out with no problem and are always contained if they slip out the door. Also, being in Wyoming, you can find places where you don't HAVE neighbors. That's what I've done. It's really the most problem-free way to go with these dogs.

I've always lived out in the country (Wyoming and Colorado) and that's what I did.

I would say really long chain setup...they can play on a 100ft setup as well as any other dog
If a dog is not raised on a chain, they are often somewhat inhibited about running around on one. They don't understand they are free to run around because they ARE being held.

No matter how you look at it, dogs cannot enjoy themselves on a chain like they can a big yard where they can be at liberty.
