Your best bet would be to rent from a private owner (someone that owns their own house/townhouse/condo). Private owners don't need to abide by any corporate regulations or breed restrictions. They are much more understanding, especially if you introduce your VERY WELL BEHAVED dog to them before signing the lease. Perhaps even consider getting your CGC Certificate. That will make them feel better about letting you rent. Some renters insurance will deny your application if you own a pit, so make sure you look into their policy before applying for insurance.
