I've had the opposite experiences as AprilArchambeau. Rosie will do ANYTHING to please you, while Nick just DOES NO CARE. If he can see good reason to do something then he'll think about it. Rosie is eager, eager, eager and WANTS to please you.

I think it's more of an individual dog than a female/male thing.

I did notice a difference in training horses too. Mares are much more willing, while the geldings are a lot tougher to get thru too, just don't seem to care.
But again, I think it's more of an individual thing.


We did notice some brown grass from Rosie at the first house we rented, but since we bought this house, we haven't noticed any... I wonder if it's more to do with the soil. My parents have always had female dogs and have never had brown spots.
The house we rented had horrible soil and terrible drainage. Not so here or at my parents farm.
