I've actually never had an issue with my female killing my grass, but she doesn't drink or pee a lot. Which was completely opposite of my lab. He had a disorder that made him drink HUGE amounts of water and pee constantly in large amounts (and never lifted his leg). Neither of them killed the grass though. Not sure if it was because the labs urine was so diluted but I've never had a problem with them or my ACD (female) I had before them. I will say the two females were much easier to "train" (they didn't really take much training, they pretty much just behaved well without much effort on my part, although my ACD did try to "herd" me on our walks, which although she never nipped got annoying cause I kept having to switch hands behind my back with my leash from her switching sides behind me). My lab only listened if food was involved but generally was well behaved, just didn't listen.
