Default Lessons....where to go?
I have decided I am tired of being an average/mediocre golfer. I am tired of shooting the lower side of 40's. I want to improve. I have thought over the years that I was good enough to improve myself (big mistake) thought I only needed to play more and practice more and maybe even purchase new equipment. I would consistently shoot 81-84 just about everywhere I'd play

Well this year I did all of that. I have purchased new irons, joined a league, kept a handicap index (currently 10.5) and play more than I ever have in the past. What has happened? I have gotten progressively worse somehow, now shooting 86-90 on avg the last month or so. I have been told multiple times by multiple fitters I've been to and by most people I play with that I have a very nice swing, but for whatever reason I just cant score. When I tell them I shot 44 or 46 they are in complete shock.

SO...I have decided to go get a lesson or 2. My question is where do I go? How do you find a good instructor?

Driving Range Pro? Golf Course Pro? The only place I have ruled out is GolfTec or any other indoor facility. Sorry, maybe I am ignorant, but I want to be outdoors to see what the ball is doing.
