Had this happen on a couple of occasion on different courses, once is forgivable from my point of view....more than that the ball goes in my pocket and I play on. Nobody has ever came up and asked for the ball back. I recently hit into a foursome on the second to last hole and I REALLY hate doing that it just throws my game into the waste bunkers, I feel like crap when I hit that shot and see them coming out of a hidden area just for them look back at me...so I've been on both sides of this and trust me usually the first one is an honest mistake...but usually there is a wave of the hand not just standing there leaning against his/her club that to me would seem intentional.
