Consult a doctor and find out why you are hurting first. I only recommend this course of action because I speak from experience. 7 years ago I had surgery to try and repair a non union in my right hand. Bone and vascular graft was attempted from my lower wrist. After being in a cast for over 6 weeks, months of physical therapy and then to finally learn that the surgery was less than 60% successful! I will have to deal with the occasional pain & limited wrist mobility for the rest of my life. All because I put off a visit to my doctor by trying to use braces and wrist supports for a few years to cope with pain from what I didn't know was a broken bone. I'll get off my soap box now and I hope it's nothing serious!!
