I just had this conversation with a friend at lunch today.

To me the Morgan Cup is about an experience that very few people get to have an opportunity to experience. We're literally able to get a chance to live the lives of a professional athlete for a little while in our lives. So there's that part of it, that's a very cool element of it for sure but it's not everything. Then there's the bond we get to make with people all over the world who are lucky enough to get to experience this with us. When else can I say I made friends with a couple guys in Canada and a guy in Ireland? I'll likely never get to those places myself so through the Morgan Cup I'm able to build life long friendships. Not only globally but also right here in the US. I now have friends all over the country and that is really cool. There's also the competition part of it, I think it's helping all 24 of us drive up our practice and actually focus on improving for a purpose more than just improving for our weekly matches with buddies. Then there's the whole aspect of it to the THP and the members here. No other golf website or organization in the world offers this and everyone who comes in here everyday to get involved in the equipment banter to the trash talk gets to experience as well.

There's much more to it than that even, and to each person it's a little bit different but just as special to every one of us who are fortunate enough to call themselves Morgan Cuppers!
