Played my last round with my 15 yo who just started playing - this was actually his first time playing and keeping score. We have played on an actual course twice before this, and he has had 1 lesson. We played a 130 slope course, and he played from the same set of tees as myself and MikeT, and he shot a legit 119. He hasn't had anywhere to actually practice putting, so he needs help there - he hit 3 GIR, ( i only hit 4! ) but 3 putted them all, and he actually had a couple 4 putts. Think he had like 42 putts, but I told him we will get that straightened out! He actually told me yesterday that he would like to get a putting lesson so he doesn't embarrass himself or me!( We are both going to get one lol! ) I told him golf is a tough game, and as long as you are out there giving it all you got and staying focused, no way would you embarrass me! He has a very natural swing, and for a 5'5 135# kid, hits the ball close to the same length as me - and he is using hand me down clubs!

Sorry for the run on - just a proud papa!
