Good stuff, most people never can appreciate how difficult the sport is until they are immersed in it themselves.

Wonder if he will catch the bug? That is how it all began with me...I went to the driving range with dad when I was younger from time to time, always thought golf was lame. A neighbor of mine asked if I wanted to go play 9 when I was 13 (he was 14), and his parents took us out to the course. The course we played was actually my home course for our high school team, and it was a 4 star Golf Digest course, so not exactly easy. I fell in love that night and couldn't get enough. Less than a year later I made my high school golf team, and quit baseball/basketball/football to focus on golf. A year after that I was top 3 on my team and playing in junior tournaments, and a couple years after that I was scratch. I loved it and couldn't get enough of it.
