I have type 2 diabetes so snacking during a round is critical. The TX heat in summer just sweats the carbs out of me which will cause my glucose to drop like a stone. So I bring: a banana or two which works magic at keeping my glucose up, 4-5 Quaker Chewy bars which have about 20 cards each, two PBJ's (sugar free J) 5-6 bottles of water. Thank god my bag has big pockets!
Me too. I carry a peanut butter sandwich every round, and a bottle of water that gets refilled at every jug on the the course. Then I either carry some grapes or an apple, some pistachios and then a Chewy granola bar. I find that if I eat something every other hole, even if I don't feel hungry, and sip on my water while I'm walking, or riding, between shots, I very rarely get tired. This is where the grapes come in great. My son has an old clone trooper soft sided lunch box that I throw a freeze pack in and keep everything in there. I open up the bag of grapes and toss at least a few in my mouth pretty much every hole. If I take an apple in stead, I like to slice it, but, if I don't have time, I just wrap it in a moist paper towel, and take a bite or 2 every hole until it's gone.
