You're a 2 HDCP, so you know the shot isn't a stretch for you. I can't imagine you snap hook too many balls in the course of a round. Look at it as of maybe 500 balls, you've shot 6 in there. 1%.

I had this happen on a much shorter scale, and what I did was just focus on a point then hit the ball there. If the water doesn't exist, can't go in it. A friend summed it up once when we got on him during a round...the usual "Now be careful, you don't want to put this in the water" messing about. His reply - "Water? There isn't any water on the green".

Easier said than done, but try and focus on the result, not the process. Not avoiding the drink, but playing to the desired spot. That's my thought, but I have been known to take the toughness out of "mental toughness" on occasion and leave myself just...mental.
