The behavior you described is extreme disregard for etiquette and I just wouldn't play with those guys.
But I play with guys that know my game and I theirs so a little banter on the tee is not a big deal to me. Walking in my line with soft spikes, doesn't bother me one bit. Unless you are playing extremely soft wet greens you will never know the difference.
Now when I'm playing in a big money match i tend to follow proper etiquette pretty much to the letter.
