VERY seriously. I think etiquette on the golf course is a measure of the person themselves.
I take it pretty serious as well. Proper etiquette is not all that difficult to follow. Pretty simple stuff. As a part time worker at my home course, I can tell that there are thousands of players that show little respect for the course i.e pitch marks on the greens, huge divots on the course unrepaired, litter, cigar/cigarette butts on the ground etc. Just goes to show that millions of great respectable people play golf, along with millions of self centered, lazy people. We teach Jr's at our course to leave the course better than they found it and to respect others on the course.
