if i'm 40 yards out it's because i either:
1) mis-managed a par 5 going for it in two when i should've laid up further back
2) mis-managed a short par 4 by yanking driver instead of laying it up further back
3) complete accident

that being said, with my confidence in my wedges if i were anything outside 10' i'd be sincerely angered with myself.
