I have pretty good patience, but I absolutely cannot stand to be hung out to dry in a super slow group. I would especially have been distrubed that they were not willing to let faster players through. I would have probably left them after the second hole if not before, from your description it was taking 30 minutes per hole, that is a 9 hour round. Unreal!!!
