Handicap is supposed to predict your scoring potential- not your average score.

Based on perfect math you should shoot around handicap once every four rounds.

I still don't understand the US handicapping system on this basis.

Our handicap system is based on simpler maths, but I guess it doesn't work out too different depending on the level you're at.
