Golf is a solitary pursuit and my only opponent is the course. I judge my sucess by whether or not I played better than average.

I am always struck by the fact there is no perfect round. If I shot a 58 (please, Dear God, someday), I would probably walk away knowing if I had just made that short putt I lipped out, it could have been a 57.

Annika's coaches talked about 54 (birdie every hole) as the ultimate, but I always thought why limit yourself.
