I like to play in the some charity events through out the year. One of my favorites is for juvenile diabetes. A bunch of us even have our own charity get together that includes a form of golf, much like the old sheep herders did way back when.

I belong to a mens league, but I am not a regular attendee to their tournaments. They have 12 tournaments a year, and I probably show up at 2 or 3 of them. It just depends which course they are using that month. If it it one of the higher end courses I will attend. My home course's men's league is not very competitive unless you are a golfer with creative ideas on handicaps, and about rules interpretation.

No, me and my golf swing against the golf course, while meeting new folks is good enough for me.
