Who are we talking about again, he or she? Anyway if he/she already used an excuse for whiffing then yes it's a stroke.

I thought it's only a stroke if someone else actually sees the whiff when you are playing under the "whiffs count as a stroke rule". Otherwise, it's not. Right?

Oh ok, it's always a practice swing for me. I've never noticed if Smalls has whiffed on one.

I only take practice whiffs swings.
