I replace then when they are worn out. Buying the latest and greatest just because it's there is just a waste of good money, in my most humble opinion.

I have 2 pairs of golf shoes... one pair of Footjoy Contours, and one pair of Footjoy golf sandals. The Contours are 3 years old, the sandals were new this spring. Both are still in great condition. I just put in new spikes when needed.
