As we all know, there are people here who are always whining except when they shoot in the 70's and there are those who claim they can hit the ball a mile. There are others who are posting their true score and others who claim they suck, but really aren't that bad. Tell the truth - which one are you? Me - I'm not very good, but I've decided that while I don't totally suck - there is a lot of room for improvement. So if we ever play together and I tell you I'm not good - I'm speaking the truth.
I'm the original WYSIWYG.

I don't lie to people, I don't embellish stories and as far as golf goes, I'm very good at the game but like everyone else there are times when I can't suck enough. My best ever 18-hole round was a 72, my best handicap ever was a 2 on the Red Course at Bethpage (blue tees), I've had several sub-par nines but if I don't practice and stay plugged in, I'm just as likely to shoot in the high 80's and even occasionally crack the north side of 90.
If I had a great round, I'll tell you that and I have no problem patting myself on the back for it. But on the days that I couldn't hit a cow in the ass with a banjo, those are usually the first words out of my mouth when someone asks how I did.

I don't stand on any pedestals (maybe some soapboxes from time to time), I have no "ego issues" with "how far" or "how low", I do not make up stories about how great I am nor do I make excuses for when I'm not so good. Likewise, I don't hand out phony compliments to people. If someone does or says something that truly impresses me, I'll say so, but if not, I just go about my business.

I may rub some people the wrong way and I also have my fans, but the one thing they all can count on is that when they deal with me, they're dealing with the real person and there are no "onions to peel", no phoniness and I'll always give you an honest answer; In other words, "What You See Is What You Get".
