I prefer being the less accomplished golfer in a group. It makes me focus, and play better. Watching, and playing good golf being played is what it is all about.
Let me ask you all a question. Would any of you pass on a chance to play with someone who was a much better player, maybe not a pro but much better than you are, because you might be embarrassed? Or would you look at it as a learning experience or maybe a chance to see some good golf and have some fun? I have people tell me all the time that they aren't good enough to think about playing a round of golf with me and I am only a 5 handicap, that doesn't really make sense to me I guess. I am curious what you all think about that and what you would do if given a chance to play with a pro or even just a 5.
Some of the most enjoyable and and the the best golf I have played has been playing with scratch golfers and golfers in the low digit numbers. I learn from them and one thing I have noticed they could care less about how I'm playing they are playing their game. I think the most fun I had was couple years ago got paired up with a guy and his two sons all three were scratch golfers the two sons were playing on college team and looking to go into pro golf had a great time with these guys and learned a lot.

BTW my handicap averages around 12-14[/QUOTE]
