I remember individual shots right down to the place, the hole, the weather, everything, have hit more of them lately so I don't remember them anymore unless they are really good. I remember driving the green at par 4 #7 Tenison Highlands last week for example.

Regarding perception many people are of the opinion that everyone sees a different reality because reality is projected outward somewhat by your own mind, depending on expectations and experiences or habits. In effect we are creating our own reality 'movie' in our minds as we filter input through our eyes and we spend some significant effort in conforming that 'reality' to fit the perception we want, or need, to see. We see what we want to see, need to see, or think we remember seeing, not what is actually there or what has actually happened. This is why your teenager might say "I didn't know it was broken" or dented or whatever when you ask about why there is a broken lamp in the living room or why the car has a big dent on the front end.
