I perfer nice wide fairways and straightforward holes water is ok as long as there is not a lot of it, it usually doesn't bother me too much if it is a short distance to hit over. Greens nice and level, no sand. yes... I like boring courses those are the ones I'm most comfortable at.

I like wide fairways narrowing as you get up by the green. I like the chance to hit a bump and run and not have a green surrounded by hazards. I do not like blind shots. I like down hill shots and am luke warm with uphill ones. I like a course with dog legs that may require a bit of thinking as to what you will hit off the tee. I like courses with lots of tee boxes so if you play it a lot you can play from a variety of tee boxes and use all the clubs in your bag.
