I do that when I am playing with just friends. I call them confidence shots. I don't do it for anyone but me. It's nice to know that just because you didn't, it doesn't mean you can't.

The article was pretty good. I don't mind slow players either (to an extent). I do like to finish 18 in less than 7 hours though.
Hey, we've all done that at some point and a lot of what I say about such things is very tongue in cheek. But I have on occasion been paired up with people who have "validation" issues who seem to have to "prove themselves" constantly and that drives me crazy.

I've been playing long enough to know when someone can or can't play and I can tell the difference between a good player having an "off" day and a hacker who has never had an "on" day in their life and when it's the latter who constantly "plays another one", I tend to run out of patience more quickly.

But in my world, I honestly don't care what anyone else does or how often they do it just as long as the "Prime Directive" (keeping up with group in front) isn't compromised.
