A tip for taking two or more clubs to the green. Always place the one(s) you are not using on the green.

It helps even more to lay them next to or across the flagstick.

I'll do that and also, when I remember to take off my glove to putt, I will throw my glove over by the clubs. I TRY not to lay them across the flagstick because it's fine if it's just you, but if others in your group do it, then you have to deal with their clubs, or they have to deal with yours. I like to place them on the fringe between where we leave the green and the cart, and am trying to get in the habit of doing that instead of using the flagstick.
