Ever pull or push one into someone's yard...or worse? (Broken a window, ball through a screen, in their pool, hit a car parked in their driveway etc?) IMO it's very embarassing to have to go pick up your ball....damage or not. So here are a few questions for you....

1) Have you ever done any damage to someone's home?

2) Has anyone ever come out of their house to scold you?

3) Whose responsibility is it to pay for any damage? (Someone told me that it's at the homeowner's risk and therefore his/her responsibility)

C'mon lemme hear some stories. I don't think I'm alone in "trespassing to retrieve a ball."

AND YES, I put a ball through a screened in pool area. The ball ended up in the pool. Their was no activity around the house and I left the ball where it was. SHOULD I HAVE LEFT A NOTE?

On the first hole at my old course, homes lined the left side of a par 5. Yesterday I just hit a house, luckily nobody was home and there was no damage. Once I hit one into somebodies pool, and the cover was on, so there was my little ball just sitting there.

My Best Story: There were 3 old men sitting on a deck watching people golf. I attemped to hit the green in 2 with my 3 wood. I hit it but it sliced into the yards. When I got up t here I saw a ball on the green. The old men were laughing. Apparently, I hit the foundation of the deck they were sitting on and ricocheted my ball onto the green.
