Ever pull or push one into someone's yard...or worse? (Broken a window, ball through a screen, in their pool, hit a car parked in their driveway etc?) IMO it's very embarassing to have to go pick up your ball....damage or not. So here are a few questions for you....

1) Have you ever done any damage to someone's home?

2) Has anyone ever come out of their house to scold you?

3) Whose responsibility is it to pay for any damage? (Someone told me that it's at the homeowner's risk and therefore his/her responsibility)

C'mon lemme hear some stories. I don't think I'm alone in "trespassing to retrieve a ball."

AND YES, I put a ball through a screened in pool area. The ball ended up in the pool. Their was no activity around the house and I left the ball where it was. SHOULD I HAVE LEFT A NOTE?

Bounced one of a roof one on a tight Par 3, got scolded for it too by Old Mother Hubbard. I've put many into others' yards usually with no additional fanfare. Most expensive car I've hit was a Mercedes 500SL (windshield) but it didn't break.
